Mind-boggling!
So, yesterday, sources reported that Ricky Gervais was worth $80 million. We were skeptical of this “fact” at first, having forgotten that he’s got his hands in not one, but both Office franchises. Still, we weren’t completely sold on the number and wanted confirmation from Ricky before we let our jaw drop in undeniable awe and jealousy.
We’ve just been to Ricky’s blog…where he confirmed he’s worth the whole bundle!
Ricky shared with the world that the figures are indeed correct, but that he’s been trying to hide this fact from those who might come after him with an open palm, like his family! He explained:
“They are of course spot on. I know it sounds a lot, but remember, I donate a lot of this to good causes. (The Inland Revenue mainly.)…I will have to get my family a million scratch cards each for Christmas. I have decided to use the rest of the money to take over Libya.”
Hey, if you throw some of it at the HFPA, they’ll probably let you host the Golden Globes again.
On second thought, never mind. We don’t want to open that can of worms again!!!
