Rihanna’s S&M has officially hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart!
This achievement marks RiRi’s 10th #1 hit on the chart AND given the fact that her first #1 hit on the chart was May 2006’s SOS, she’s achieved a record of having “the shortest span between a solo artist’s first and 10th No. 1s in the chart’s 52-year history.” Wow!
The only artists who have gained 10 Hot 100 #1’s faster than her are the Beatles and the Supremes. Not bad AT ALL!
Finally, RiRi has also become the youngest artist to land 10 #1’s in the Hot 100 chart.
As far as potential Hot 100 competition from Lady GaGa is concerned, we’ll see what happens there.
GaGa’s Judas debuted at #10 on the Hot 100 chart, but it def has the potential to compete with RiRi for next week.
Do U think GaGa’s Judas will top the Hot 100 chart next week? Or do U think Rihanna will continue to dominate? OR do U think someone else will take over?
