Riley Green Explains Why He Agreed To Play At Big Time Trump Supporter Kid Rock's Festival

Riley Green has answers for the fans who wonder why he joined the lineup of Kid Rock‘s festival!

The country music star was announced as an up-and-coming musical act for Rock the Country this year. The festival is a traveling show that’s going to hit seven cities across the US, and it was co-founded by one of Donald Trump‘s biggest supporters. But despite Kid Rock being heavily MAGA, Riley says his decision to play has nothing to do with politics.

He explained to Billboard on Thursday:

“The simplest way I can put it is if somebody calls me and wants me to come play a festival and financially it makes sense, then I’m probably going to go do it. I don’t ask a lot of questions beyond that.”

The 37-year-old added:

“Rock the Country sounds like a fun festival. I don’t see any benefit in me making anything political. I think people go to concerts to try to get away from their everyday problems and enjoy country music. My job is to entertain them.”

Well, in a situation like this, Kid Rock stands to make mega bucks from this festival, and Riley is contributing to the success. This then has the potential to feed into Kid’s future support for Trump… It’s not just his own pockets he’s filling!

So whether Riley thinks it’s political or not, it absolutely is! It reminds us of that saying, “You may not do politics, but politics will always do you.”
