Nothing like a little more good ol’ fashioned Olympic Games sexism…
The Chicago Tribune is being DESTROYED online right now after tweeting a pretty openly sexist and dismissive comment about Olympic bronze medal winner Corey Cogdell-Unrein on Sunday.

Cogdell-Unrein won the bronze (her second medal, and third time appearing in the Games) in women’s trap shooting down in Rio on Sunday, and the Tribune commemorated the event with this absurd tweet (below):

Oh, yeah, that’s the thing: in addition to kicking ass at her sport, Cogdell-Unrein happens to be married to Chicago Bears football lineman Mitchell Unrein.
So what’s the Tribune‘s take? Well, why not lead with her husband, right?!
Obviously, Twitter users were not shy about calling out the newspaper for its ridiculous angle on Cogdell-Unrein’s achievement, and for pretty much an entire day, the Tribune took it on the chin from angry tweeters (below):
