
Katie Ledecky is a three time Olympic gold medalist, often called the future of American swimming.
So, it doesn’t surprise us that the nine-time world champion had another record-shattering idol to look up to growing up — a certain swimmer named Michael Phelps!
After winning her second and third gold medals on Tuesday, the 19-year-old is going to be signing a lot of autographs at the Rio games.

But ten years ago, it was Ledecky who was asking for Phelps’ autograph as a mere 9-year-old superfan!
On Tuesday, ESPN reporter Darren Rovell shared the adorable throwback pic, courtesy of the Ledecky family:

Wow! Things have really come full lap circle for these legendary athletes!
But Phelps wasn’t the only gold medalist Ledecky had the privilege of meeting in her adolescent years — another throwback pic reveals the swimmer also met none other than Michael Jordan:
