R.I.P.

On the eve of NYC Fashion Week, Time Inc. is throwing in the towel on Time Style & Design, their quarterly fashion-focused publication.

A spokesperson for the magazine said that, “This is really a suspended publication. We’d hope to bring it back when the economy improves.”

Four staffers were let go, but Kate Betts, former Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief who was working as the editor of Time Style & Design, will stay on with Time Inc., covering the shows during Fashion Week for the company.

This is the second time in recent months that Time Inc has folded a magazine. Last month, the company pulled the plug on their mag Southern Accents.

Bummer!
