We love that song!

Doug Fieger of The Knack passed away after battling lung and brain cancer for years.

The Knack was best known for their 1979 Number 1 hit “My Sharona,” which was about one of Fieger’s real-life girlfriends. In one of Fieger’s last interviews with The Detroit News, the rocker said:

“Everybody knows they’re going sooner or later. I don’t know any better than anyone else when I’m going. I’ve had 10 great lives. And I expect to have some more. I don’t feel cheated in any way, shape or form.”

He was only 57 years old.

So sad.
