John Forsythe passed away on Thursday in Santa Ynez, California, from complications of pneumonia, following a year-long battle with cancer.

Although he started out doing theater, he won two Golden Globes for his role as Blake Carrington in Dynasty and was the voice of Charlie in Charlie’s Angels.

Forsythe was also a spokesperson and sponsor of the World Wildlife Fund and supported the American Cancer Society and the United Nations Association.

He was 92-years-old.
