So sad.
Former WCW and WWE wrestler and openly gay Chris Kanyon is believed to have committed suicide after his body was found on Saturday in his New York apartment.
Kanyon overdosed on medication and had been having depression problems for years.
Kanyon admitted he was gay after leaving the WWE in 2004 thinking that perhaps his homosexuality could be used in a wrestling angle, but he wasn’t hired by any of the wrestling organizations.
He supposedly told a friend as recently as last Monday that he was thinking about committing suicide and other friends have said he has made similar statements before.
Our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.
