Tom Hanks‘ other half excitedly shared at The Hollywood Reporter‘s Power 100 Breakfast:
“I am cancer free. I’m one hundred percent healthy!”
Ahh! We couldn’t be happier for Rita!
The 59-year-old has big plans now that she’s got her health back, revealing she and her band are going on tour:
“I’ll start in New York at the Cafe Carlyle for two weeks on February 23rd. Then I have a couple weeks off, and then I start again at the end of March. I’ll go through all the April and part of May. It’s going to be hilarious. Me on a tour bus with my band members.”
We can only imagine what an experience that will be — especially since her husband will be joining her on the road! She shared:
“He’s already said, ‘I am coming on the tour bus!’ So I had to get one with a bigger bed. So that was important. He’s coming. He’s going to be on tour … He’s a roadie.”
LOLz!
Well, at least they’ll be doing it together! And Rita continued:
“I feel really blessed and very lucky. Part of the reason for going on tour is that I want to show people that you can have cancer, and you can still be out there doing what you love to do, and it’s not a death sentence like it used to be.”
Amazing! We’re so glad she’s healthy and can get back to doing what she loves!
