Maybe this will spur some movement on that Goosebumps movie…
Children’s horror book author R.L. Stine’s new book It’s the First Day of School…Forever! is heading to theaters!
The book has been optioned by Gotham Group, who are currently looking to attach a screenwriter before getting a studio involved.
Gotham Group CEO/founder Ellen Goldsmith-Vein has referred to the book as “a thoroughly reimagined Diary of a Wimpy Kid meets Groundhog Day.” Intriguing.
The story revolves around 12-year-old Artie, whose first day at school is the worst day of his life, and he keeps re-living it….SO he must find a way to “change his nightmare.”
For those of you who would be TOO scared to watch R.L. Stine’s work on the big screen, the author’s also got a TV series called The Haunting Hour, which is currently airing on The Hub Network.
Will U go see R.L. Stine’s Groundhog Day-like movie when/if it hits theaters?
