Especially in a movie!!!
But Bobby is a bit older now, and every now and then he needs a competent film star to shoulder some of the cinematic load.
Luckily for the iconic film actor – that’s exactly what he’s got in store for him in his new movie The Family!
A dog sidekick named Malavita!!!
Here’s what the film’s director Luc Besson said:
“The family is not complete without the dog. He is just like them. He’s a hard-ass. You don’t fool around with this dog.”
But the director wasn’t the only one loving this dog!
Here’s what the film’s assistant director said:
“He knows all the secrets, but the dog is the only one in the Mob that will never talk. He is very much the boss after the boss.”
The boss after the boss? So like the assistant boss? Or the assistant to THE boss?
And apparently Bobby De Niro and Malavita totally bonded during the making of this movie!
Here’s what the producer said:
“The dog trainer said Robert should be the only one to spend time with him because they wanted them to bond. Everyone would stay away and let them have their moment.”
Aww!
We were excited to see this movie before, but now we totally can’t wait for it to hit the theaters!
It’s definitely the dog that is making us want to see it that much more!
