So THIS is why he didn’t seem so shocked!
Robert Downey Jr. immediately released a very supportive statement for his son Indio, after the 20-year-old was arrested for cocaine possession this weekend.
Reportedly, Indio has been in and out of rehab for years, and was clean for awhile, until his arrest.
But, Robert has been by his son’s side, supporting him the entire time, because he completely understands how serious addiction is. A source said:
“Because of Robert’s own struggle he’s very much in tune with his son’s sobriety. And that has really helped Indio.”
Also, by all accounts, Indio is a very sweet, polite person with good intentions, but he just had a slip-up, which when it comes to serious addictions is all that you need.
