Robert Irwin‘s new romance reportedly has his family worried AF!
The Australian zookeeper’s heart has been stolen by wildlife photographer Ashleigh Scully, and the relatively new relationship is heating up fast. According to Radar Online sources, Robert’s already planning his future with Ashleigh… in the US! And yeah, his momma Terri and sister Bindi are apparently begging him to hit the brakes!

Speaking to the outlet on Tuesday, an insider stressed that while Terri and Bindi think Ashleigh seems lovely, they have their reservations:
“Their concern is more that he’s already racing ahead and making all sorts of plans when the relationship is still very new. And their concerns are valid because he’s talking about involving Ashleigh in every aspect of his life. He wants her spending time at the zoo, getting to know the family business and becoming part of the wider Irwin world.”
If the Dancing with the Stars alum is thinking of spending more time in the US, too, you could see why his Australia-based relatives are concerned. Their lives are Down Under! But also… involving a new woman with the family business too early could be disastrous! It’s a delicate matter, for sure.
Now, none of this is to say that the 24-year-old shutterbug isn’t the right person for Robert — the source thinks they seem like a “perfect fit” as they share so many of the same passions. So, what’s the big deal? They detailed:
“The problem is that he’s already looking years ahead when he should really just be taking his time to get to know her. … Bindi and Terri keep reminding him that there’s no need to rush. They’re thrilled to see him happy — but they do think he needs to cool his jets.”
Fair!
The couple is young too, no need to rush! But it’s a positive sign that the 22-year-old is so excited and sees a future with his new girlfriend! Here’s to hoping his family is worried about nothing!
