The Birds Star Rod Taylor Dead At 84

One of the manliest men to ever grace the silver screen has passed away.
Rod Taylor, star of 1960’s The Time Machine, died Wednesday of natural causes at the age of 84.
The athletic Aussie starred in dozens of films and TV shows over the course of his career, most recently as Winston Churchill in Inglourious Basterds.
But he was probably best known as the charming hero who has a meet-cute with — and then must rescue — Tippi Hedron in Alfred Hitchcock‘s horror classic The Birds.
We’ll always remember him as one of our first onscreen crushes. So sad.
