Ronan Farrow Accuses Harvey Weinstein Of Hiring Intelligence Agencies To Spy On Accusers -- Including Rose McGowan!

Ronan Farrow has more dirt to spill on Harvey Weinstein.
In a new exposé for The New Yorker, which was released on Monday evening, the 29-year-old journalist accused the disgraced producer of going through great lengths to cover up the many sexual misconduct allegations that circled Tinseltown. Allegedly, Weinstein hired private security agencies, which included ex-Mossad operatives, to dig up information on accusers AND journalists in an attempt to keep them from speaking out about his predatory ways.

It’s said the intelligence agencies spied on Rose McGowan and Asia Argento ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ both actresses have accused the indie movie mogul of sexual assault. Oh, and Harvey’s former employees from different film enterprises were enlisted, as well as a high-ranking media editor, to his dirty work. How awful.
Nonetheless, Weinstein’s spokesperson has since denied the latest New Yorker allegations, as Sallie Hofmeister noted in a statement:

“It is a fiction to suggest that any individuals were targeted or suppressed at any time.”

Hmmmm, we’re not sure about that. Farrow seemed pretty convinced in his findings, as he wrote in the publication:

“The explicit goal of the investigations, laid out in one contract with Black Cube, signed in July, was to stop the publication of the abuse allegations against Weinstein that eventually emerged in the New York Times and The New Yorker.”

Apparently, the employed agencies — which included Israel-based Black Cube and American firm Kroll — sent operatives undercover to “target” McGowan and others. The agents were also tasked with putting together “psychological profiles that sometimes focused on their personal or sexual histories.”
Per the report, one operative posed as a women’s rights advocate and secretly recorded at least four meetings with the Charmed alum. The female agent was previously an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces. Whoa.
To make matters worse, Rose has recalled meeting with the agent recently as they allegedly sat down together on October 23. That’s more than two weeks after the Times‘ initial expos├â┬⌐ about Weinstein. Looks like Harvey knew the dam was about to break.

The Black Cube investigator went on to meet with a journalist under the guise that they were a Harvey victim. During the meeting, the unnamed operative pressed the reporter for details about the other women who were opening up to the press. Smh.
Both Asia and Rose have since reacted to Ronan’s latest piece, as they’ve shared on Twitter:

Weinstein’s former lawyer, named David Boies, has seemingly confirmed Farrow’s findings as he noted in a statement:

“We should not have been contracting with and paying investigators that we did not select and direct.”

Eek. The Hollywood heavyweight also enlisted the help of journalists to collect intel on the accusers. Dylan Howard, the chief content officer of American Media Inc., was one of those hirees as he once had a television-production agreement with Weinstein. The contract has since been terminated.
In regards to working for Harvey, Howard explained:

“I always separated those two roles carefully and completely├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥and resisted Mr. Weinstein’s repeated efforts to have AMI titles publish favorable stories about him or negative articles about his accusers. I had an obligation to protect AMI’s interests by seeking out ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ but not publishing ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ truthful information about people who Mr. Weinstein insisted were making false claims against him. To the extent I provided ‘off the record’ information to Mr. Weinstein about one of his accusers ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ at a time when Mr. Weinstein was denying any harassment of any woman ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ it was information which I would never have allowed AMI to publish on the internet or in its magazines.”

Sounds like someone’s downplaying their involvement in this drama.
Ronan also chatted with former Miramax producer Pamela Lubell, who has claimed that she was “manipulated” to phone several actresses who may’ve alleged sexual misconduct against the industry titan. Lubell says she wasn’t the only staffer to do this.
Understandably, many of Weinstein’s victims have been left traumatized by these investigations. After revealing that she has struggled with paranoia following these probes into her life, Rose commented:

“Everyone lied to me all the time. I’ve lived inside a mirrored fun house.”

Intense stuff. Regardless, we couldn’t be prouder of Rose, Asia, and the many others who’ve spoken out against Harvey.
Also, Ronan, keep up the good investigative work!!
