Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is now, finally, a changed man… or so he says.
The Jersey Shore star issued a public apology to his girlfriend and baby momma Jen Harley — as well as one to fans of the show (!) — for his erratic, up-and-down behavior towards her and their daughter, Ariana Sky Magro.

It all started with the last episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, during which Ronnie appeared to get, um, pretty close to Angelina Pivarnick‘s friend Lindsay (AKA “Jewish Barbie”), who was visiting the house.
After seeing how that unfortunate little tryst played out on camera, the 32-year-old apparently felt pretty guilty, because he wrote up this missive (below) and posted it to his Instagram Story for Jen and the whole world to see:
In full, that message says:
“Obviously the last episode has made it seem like I was into Jewish rag doll, it’s edited to make it look worse. I was in a bad place in my life and my relationship, and I acted out of anger & immature resentment. Since than [sic] I’ve grown & wouldn’t want to do anything to hurt my girlfriend or daughter, everyone makes mistakes and you’ll see next week that I learned from mine. I wouldn’t never [sic] put myself in that position again to hurt the two people I love the most in my life. I want to lead my example for my daughter how to be a real man [sic] and I need to lead how to be a good boyfriend/Husband [sic] … I love you both.”
Ahhh, yes! Nothin’ like the old “apology but also claim the episode was edited in a certain way despite your having been on reality TV your entire life and you should already know this” excuse… Hmm…
Seriously, though — it’s nice that this apology seems authentic and genuine, but we watched Ronnie fight with Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola for approximately 1,895 episodes of the first Jersey Shore without ever actually making the changes he always claimed he was going to make (that episode number is right, trust us, don’t look it up! LOLz!).

But now the poppa is suddenly going to change, when he’s always been the same guy for his entire reality TV career (AKA, his entire adult life)?! Come on. It’s Hurricane Ron, y’all — there’s ALWAYS a storm.
What do u think, Perezcious readers? Are we being too harsh on Ron and too pessimistic about his capacity for change?! Or is there going to be just another new Jen-Ronnie drama waiting around the corner for us next week, like there always seems to be??
