It was pretty embarrassing when Steven Soderbergh’s film lost financing as soon as Annapurna found out Blake Lively could be the star.
So Rooney Mara was cast instead to play Channing Tatum’s husband and now just a day after hearing that news, financing is back in the picture!! Thanks to Endgame Entertainment!!
The film, which is now titled Bitter Pill (formerly known as Side Effects), will also star Jude Law and Catherine Zeta-Jones as long as their negotiations end well!!
We’ve discussed the plot many times before, but just in case some of U missed it… Rooney plays a depressed wife who doesn’t like the idea of her husband (Channy) coming home from jail. So she finds solace in prescription pills and ends up in a whole world of trouble!! Yikes!!
Hmm… kind of sounds like a documentary on Hollywood housewives, LOL!!
