Roseanne Barr might never recover from this pain!
The disgraced sitcom star fired off more tweets Thursday, lamenting about her career at ABC going down the toilet and how she “begged” the network not to cancel her reboot over one silly “mistake.”

In between posting self-pitying apology tweets and retweeting right-leaning supporters on how unfair her show’s cancellation was, Ro-Ro revealed she made a desperate plea to Ben Sherwood hoping that the Disney/ABC Television Group President would allow her to “make amends” for her racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett.
She wrote:
“I begged Ben Sherwood at ABC 2 let me apologize & make amends. I begged them not to cancel the show. I told them I was willing to do anything & asked 4 help in making things right. I’d worked doing publicity4 them 4free for weeks, traveling, thru bronchitis. I begged4 ppls jobs.”
But Sherwood wasn’t having it. She continued:
“He said: what were you thinking when you did this? I said: I thought she was white, she looks like my family! He scoffed & said: ‘what u have done is egregious, and unforgivable.’ I begged 4 my crews jobs. Will I ever recover from this pain? Omg.”
Really!? She’s pretending she thought Jarrett was white this whole time?
The comedian seems to be saying anything she can think of to save face. Her other tweets included more apologies to the cast and “forgiveness” for her former Roseanne costars Sara Gilbert and Michael Fishman, whom she previously accused of throwing her under the bus for condemning her tweets.
She shared in another since-deleted tweet:
“To michael fishman and sara gilbert: I forgive u both, love u both, just wish u could have called me personally 2 talk rather than do it in a public arena. I understand, tho. It’s ok.”
Okay. Coming from the woman who says everything in a public arena.

The most unbearable part of all this for Roseanne wasn’t the show’s cancellation, she said — it was the impact of her words on actress Jayden Rey, who played Mary Connor, the daughter of DJ and his black wife Geena (Xosha Roquemore) on the show.
She wrote:
“I think I’ll b better tomorrow. The saddest part of all is 4 Jayden Rey on the show whom I grew2 love so much & am so ashamed of myself that she would ever think I do not love her bc she is African American. It’s the most gawd awful painful thing. I can’t let myself cave in tho.”
Sounds like she regrets that tweet a lot — but Roseanne also wanted to make sure ABC has reasons to regret cancelling her show.
Aside from being a ratings powerhouse, the actress said on Wendesday that the network will never find better actors than her former costars Laurie Metcalf and John Goodman, writing:
“I just wish ABC had not thrown two of the greatest actors in the world out with me-Laurie and John. I’m so sick over this-they will never have better character actors on their network.”
Very true! Which is why at this very moment, ABC execs are thinking of ways to get those extraordinary actors back without the one who’s racist on Ambien!
