The fate of Roseanne the character (which has already been spoiled by Roseanne the problematic comedian) is not spoken of directly in the clip, but Aunt Jackie, aka the extraordinary Laurie Metcalf, does seem like she’s trying to hold things together as she makes plans for the holidays.
It’s a very real, darkly funny moment — and oddly closer to the Roseanne we used to know. See the promo (below)!
