It’s call respect, sir. Hopefully, you’ll learn some of it when they kick you out of your office!
A New Hampshire state representative Al Baldasaro has been asked to apologize and resign after he shared his approval of a day solider being booed during last month’s Republican presidential primary debate. As a prominent supporter of Rick Perry and an ex-Marine, Sen. Baldasaro was interivewed about his politics and his feelings about the debate by ThinkProgress├óΓé¼Γäós Scott Keyes. When questioned about the booing, he replied that he thought it was “great,” adding:
├óΓé¼┼ôI was so disgusted over that gay marine coming out. He doesn’t realize it, but when the sh*t hits the fan, you want your brothers covering your back, not looking at your back.├óΓé¼┬¥
Wow. Ignorance. Pure, disgusting ignorance. It’s attitudes like that that kept women out of service for so long. Wonder if he feels the same way about having them fight in the miltary as well! Deplorable!
Shortly after he made these awful remarks, Jeff Ballard, Baldasaro’s Democratic opponent, issued this statement:
├óΓé¼┼ôAs a veteran and a New Hampshire citizen,├óΓé¼┬¥ Ballard├óΓé¼Γäós statement said, ├óΓé¼┼ôI found his applauding the booing of an Iraq War Veteran appalling. Rep. Baldasaro may have freedom of speech, but it exists because Stephen Hill, the veteran he called a ├óΓé¼╦£disgrace,├óΓé¼Γäó risked his own life to protect it. … Republican House Speaker Bill O├óΓé¼ΓäóBrien should immediately call for him to resign and remove him as Chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee in the State House. Rep. Baldasaro is clearly incapable of being an advocate for all veterans.├óΓé¼┬¥
Word! Get him out, get him out!
That kind of shallow-minded thinking has no place in this world anymore. It’s time for new politics, one that encourages equality for all!
We think this is a perfect time to say: BOOO!!!!
