It’s a big year for Brit comedian Russell Brand in the US of A!
First, a big role in a major film, Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Then, he served as hosting for this year’s highly rated MTV Music Awards.
And, now, his very own one-off on Comedy Central!
According to a new report, Brand has been contracted by the home of South Park to shoot a one-hour stand-up special.
The special will feature the Brit funny man and ‘an eclectic roster of special guests’.
It will tape in November (in the NYC) and is slated to air sometime in 2009.
Here’s what the ladies man had to say about the new deal, “COMEDY CENTRAL is the home of ‘South Park,’ ‘The Daily Show,’ and ‘The Sarah Silverman Program.’ I am thrilled to have such esteemed neighbours — particularly Sarah whom I shall be constantly troubling for cups of sugar and milk, breast milk.”
Work it, Russ.
