In Russell Brand‘s revealing new documentary, the comedian takes several jabs at his ex wife Katy Perry and their 14-month marriage.
As we saw in her flick Katy Perry: Part Of Me, the relationship didn’t end on the best note: a text from Brand announcing that he was filing for divorce.

In Brand: A Second Coming, the 40-year-old reveals that he did love the pop star, but had doubts about their compatibility — and even makes her the butt of his stand-up routine.
The Get Him To The Greek star says of the relationship:
“I’m associated with the very thing I detest: vapid, vacuous, plastic, constructed, mindless celebrity. That’s the very sea we’re swimming in, ‘Oh, who’s he?’ … ‘He’s married to Katy Perry.'”
Ouch.
Kinda sounds like he didn’t love that the Firework singer got all the attention, if you ask us…
The documentary — which, like Katy’s was filmed during the 2010 to 2012 marriage — reveals that everything changed for Brand after a trip to Africa when he realized the two had different values.
Sources say Brand didn’t approve the final edit of the film (he even skipped the May premiere), but we hope that KP isn’t too offended and can move on. The movie is out in limited release right now.
Hmph. Can’t we all just get along??
