Russell Simmons Remembers Heavy D

The Godfather of Hip-Hop has lost a dear friend.
This morning, Russell Simmons appeared on VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live and talked briefly about the loss of one of his own, rapper Heavy D.
Calling Heavy a “special artist,” Russell thought back to when he first listened to Mr. Big Stuff and how he knew then that Heavy was going to be a “author of a whole new kind of music.”
