On Thursday, Ryan Gosling celebrated turning 35-years-old by attending the red carpet for his new movie The Big Short.
Unfortunately, the Oscar nominee was flying solo on his special day as his baby momma Eva Mendes and daughter Esmeralda stayed at home. How odd!

Still, the Hollywood hunk seemed completely unfazed by their absence — we can’t imagine having a little one at a movie premiere would be all that much fun.
However, we are curious as to why Miz Mendes didn’t try and get a sitter so that she could spend time with the A-lister on his birthday?? Not to mention, costars Steve Carell and Christian Bale decided to bring their ladies as their plus ones for the event.
Hmm, very inneresting!
May we just say that Ryan looked particularly dashing in his navy suit?? LOLz!
We bet this is going to be a good year for The Notebook heartbreaker.
