It looks like authorities in Rio are serious about holding Ryan Lochte accountable!
According to TMZ, police in the 2016 Olympic city have officially charged Ryan with filing a false police report on August 14. The news comes on the heels of rampant speculation as to whether or not cops would punish Lochte for using a fake robbery story to cover up his act of vandalism at a gas station.

If convicted of the crime, the swimmer could face up to six-months in jail.
As for the likelihood of R.L. physically spending time behind bars, the possibility is slim to none. Sources close to the athlete swear he’ll never go back to Rio, and unfortunately he can’t be extradited back to Brazil for the offense.
For those who want to see the 32-year-old held accountable, it looks like they’ll have to find solace in his recently lost endorsements.
