This divorce happened a while ago, so we guess he feels comfortable enough these days to talk about it.
Ryan Phillippe was recently asked some personal questions about family by Larry King on Larry King Now on Friday and the actor did NOT shy away from discussing his and Reese Witherspoon‘s divorce.
The actor didn’t go into a lot of detail though but he did think age was the biggest factor regarding why their marriage didn’t work out.

Here’s what Ryan told Larry King:
“I think more of the problem was age. When we got together we were so young. I think it can create issues with two people in this industry because there’s so much noise that goes along with it.”
We were really glad to hear that Ryan and Reese are “very much” still friends and it was also really cute to hear Ryan talk about the close relationship he shares with their daughter Ava.
He even revealed that he doesn’t worry about her getting to the dating age – although that may change in the near future, ha!
It definitely was a super interesting interview though so kudos to Larry King for asking the tough questions!
Those type of questions always seem to lead to the best answers!
