Since American Idol survived after Simon Cowell left, the execs are thinking the same could be true about Ryan Seacrest.
And that’s why sources say they’re hesitant to offer him another $45 million deal this year.
Not like it would really hurt him. The man makes plenty of millions elsewhere, but it would be kind of sad if they booted him off over money they already giving him.
We mean, he’s like the support beam of the show. There can always be new faces, but we think the new faces worked so well not only because they were excellent picks but also because the host didn’t change.
And while all of that’s cooking, NBC is “dangling” a spot on Today in front of Ryan. And that could be a huge win-win. Ryan would have an even better job AND the network would enjoy getting him away from AI since they have The Voice.
