Back in 2009 Ayman Abu Aita slapped Sacha Baron Cohen with a $110 million lawsuit for labeling him as a “Terrorist group leader, Al-Aqsa Martyrs brigade,” in the film Bruno.
The terrorist grocer originally sued Cohen for $110 million. Earlier today, comedian and Aita settled their lawsuit for an undisclosed amount of money.
Aita claimed Sacha tricked him into thinking that he was a German producing a film about the Palestinian cause. He says the film has ruined his life, that he is a “firm opponent” of terrorists and has received death threats since the film’s release.
Who would actually think he was a terrorist?? C’mon!!!
Apparently there are a ton of idiots out there who didn’t understand the joke — and Cohen is paying for them.
Now that Ayman Abu Aita has been well compensated for the trouble Bruno brought to his life, hopefully, he can live the rest of his life in a mansion peace!!
