After 17 years (!) in the NFL, legendary quarterback, Brett Favre, is retiring from the game.
According to Fox Sports, who broke the story Tuesday morning, Favre leaves the game as the all-time record holder in several categories including wins, passing yards, touchdowns and consecutive games started. A three-time MVP, the southern swashbuckler won fans over with his carefree style.
Brett Favre, his people and the Green Bay Packers have yet to confirm Fox’s report.
We’ve always liked Mr. Favre. He’ll always be Cameron Diaz’s hot ex-boyfriend in There’s Something About Mary to us!
Thankfully there’s another Favre in the NFL to keep the family name alive!
