Sam Smith is known for his bittersweet ballads about unrequited love. But now, the 22-year-old Grammy nominee is singing a different tune.
The crooner has confirmed that he is indeed dating someone… and he met him on the set of his Like I Can music video!

He elaborates:
“It’s very early days. I’m talking very, very, very early days. But he’s really sweet├óΓé¼┬ª he was one of 20 extras.”
An extra is someone who has a nonspeaking role on a production, and is usually in the background of a scene. So this guy must’ve really stood out to Sam!
But despite this sizzling new hook up, Smith confesses that regardless of his relationship status, he will never be content:
“People need to realize I’m never going to be happy. The reason I do what I do is because I’m an artist who is always going to be blue about something.”
While we’re happy for Sam’s new relationship, we definitely don’t want him to stop singing!
