Sarah Huckabee Sanders wants Jemele Hill fired for saying what many Americans believe to be the truth.
ICYMI over the weekend, the ESPN anchor fired off a series of tweets calling Donald Trump a “white supremacist” who is the “most ignorant, offensive president of my lifetime.” Pretty accurate, TBH.
Take a look (below):
Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.

Trump is the most ignorant, offensive president of my lifetime. His rise is a direct result of white supremacy. Period.

The height of white privilege is being able to ├ó┼ô┼Æ├░┼╕┬Å┬╛ignore├ó┼ô┼Æ├░┼╕┬Å┬╛his white supremacy, because it’s of no threat to you. Well, it’s a threat to me.

Anyway, the company later released a statement saying:
“The comments on Twitter from Jemele Hill regarding the president do not represent the position of ESPN. We have addressed this with Jemele and she recognizes her actions were inappropriate.”
Then, on Wednesday, the White House press secretary called for Hill’s firing from the sports network, saying:
“That is one of the more outrageous comments that anybody could make and certainly is something that is a fireable offense by ESPN.”
Is it really that outrageous though? When commenting on Charlottesville, the man said there were “fine people” on both sides — one of those sides had Nazi flags. Come on.
It didn’t take long before the Internet rallied behind the sports journalist — ch-ch-check out the best reactions (below)!
Do not silence @jemelehill.

White House targeting Jemele Hill is a direct violation of her 1st Amendment constitutional rights. Also a violation of her human rights.
