Sarah Hyland's Abusive Ex-Boyfriend Won't Break Her Down! She's Stronger Than That!

We know Sarah Hyland can get through this most difficult time!
It was heartbreaking to hear that the Modern Family actress had to get a restraining order on her ex-boyfriend, Matt Prokop, because of his scary abusive ways.
Not only did Sarah claim in the docs that her ex-boyfriend once threw things at her, but he also CHOKED her!
And while many people would just want to hide away from all this, a source has revealed Sarah is tackling life head-on:

“She’s a strong girl. I have no doubt she will bounce back from this. She’s been through a lot in her life, but she’s still an amazing and strong person…She just wants to leave this situation behind her.“

Of course she’s strong! She was strong enough to end that dangerous relationship AND keep herself safe with a restraining order.

Obviously she doesn’t plan on dating anytime soon, but we are happy to hear she’s focusing on work as Modern Family is back to filming for the new season.
We’re sure having her cast, family, and friends surrounding her will only help her to heal.
