Sarah Hyland Shares Throwback Bikini Pic As She Opens Up About 'Constant Pain'

Sarah Hyland continues to be open about her health struggles, most recently with a candid throwback post she shared on Instagram Thursday.

Amid her battle with “constant pain,” the Modern Family star put up an older picture of her fabulously rocking a gold chain bikini, along with the caption:

“I’m putting this #tbt out there to remind myself that I can make it to the gym. Lately I’ve been making excuses because of the constant pain from health issues. But no more. A woman’s body is a miraculous thing and we can do anything we set our minds to. #summer #bodygoals here I come.”

Her Bachelor alum boyfriend, Wells Adam, showed his support for the actress by commenting on her pic, writing:

“Coming straight home now. Don’t move.”

We can’t tell if he was just turned on by the pic… or wanted to be by Sarah’s side as she reflected during what must be a difficult time for her.
Either way, props to him for making her a priority!
As we’ve previously reported, the 28-year-old has been candid about her chronic pain due to kidney dysplasia and endometriosis, her multiple transplants, surgeries, and way more with fans. It was also just in January that she sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to reveal her battle with depression and suicidal thoughts.
She explained at the time:

“I would write letters in my head to loved ones — of why I did it, my reasoning behind it, how it’s nobody’s fault. And I didn’t want to write it down on paper because I didn’t want anyone to find it. … I didn’t want anyone to know I was that close because if I knew, they would try to persuade me.”

And Hyland continued:

“At the time, I was 26, and after 26, 27 years of always being sick and being in chronic pain every single day and you don’t know when you’re going to have the next good day, it’s really, really hard.”

It only goes to show just how strong she is, especially as she’s been targeted by trolls over her appearance, too.
We can only wish Hyland continues to flaunt her strength — and flawless bikini selfies — amid these trying times. We’re thinking of you, girl, and hope you feel better soon!
