Scarlett Johansson‘s mom, Melanie Sloan, adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia.
It makes sense why she was unable to attend the Iron Man 2 premiere! Sloan was en route to Africa to pick up baby Fenan, who is about 20 months old.
Unfortunately, Melanie was stranded in Germany for a few days before getting to Ethiopia due to the volcanic ash.
“The volcano put the whole adoption process in jeopardy due to time constraints,” claims a source. “But it worked out in the end.”
Awwwww. We can’t wait to see her!
