No one knows how to unplug like Scarlett Johansson!
At least that’s the case in the trippy first teasers for Ghost in the Shell, the upcoming movie based on the popular manga series about an anti-cybercrime unit.
On Thursday, Dreamworks and Paramount released five brief, visually striking clips featuring the Avengers star as cyborg special-ops agent the Major.

In one clip, ScarJo unplugs from her charging station to start her day; in another, she stumbles upon a ring of people hooked up to what looks like a human-computer hub (no wifi, sadly).
While the actress certainly looks the part, her casting has been a subject of much controversy — many fans feel the Major’s Japanese background in the source material (her name is Motoko Kusanagi in the manga) was disregarded due to Hollywood whitewashing.
Ch-ch-check out the teasers (below) and decide if YOU think Johansson is a good choice for the lead role. Ghost in the Shell hits theaters March 31.

Orrrr…. if you’re not into the whole brevity thing, check out YouTuber Tim Gonzales‘ killer fan edit of all five teasers together!
