We love this show and we love how Scarlett Johansson‘s baby girl’s name is basically a homage to that classic sitcom! Although we doubt her French fiance Romain Dauriac has as big of an affinity for the The Golden Girls as we do!!!
Everyone who is anyone knows that ScarJo recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, but some may not know where the origins of her name – Rose Dorothy – comes from.
Well, some believe ScarJo was inspired to name her baby girl after The Golden Girls!
Rose and Dorothy are the names of two of the characters on the show!
Betty White played a feisty lady named Rose Nylund on the show while the late, great Bea Arthur was in charge of bringing the laughs with her character Dorothy Petrillo!
However, apparently the homage to the ah-mazing show was just a happy coincidence as Scarlett has the best excuse ever: it looks like the little bundle was actually named after her grandmother!
Aw! Well, that’s sweet, too!
It’s been a great couple of gave baby days, and the fact that The Golden Girls is now sort of connected to one of those babies’ names is some sweet icing on the cake!
