Up until now, the way to measure fat-levels in our bodies was BMI (Body Mass Index), which uses weight and height to determine whether or not we are overweight or not. Unfortunately, there are some problems with this method, one being that it doesn’t take into account that the majority of your weight might be muscle, and not fat.
Scientists have come up with a new, more accurate method to measure obesity — a scanner that measures body volume.
For all of you skinny ladies out there, this won’t apply to you, but anyone who has much muscle on their body shouldn’t be too stressed if their BMI seems high.
