Martin Scorsese‘s new HBO show, Boardwalk Empire, cost $50 million to shoot the first one-hour episode of the 1920s-based drama.

WTF?!

“It’s a huge period piece with a gigantic cast,” said a source. “Obviously, the rest of the episodes are cheaper because they’ll reuse props, sets and costumes, but the first one was really pricey.”

They may have a huge cast, but how much could Steve Buscemi cost?!
