Stone Temple Pilots Fire Lead Singer Scott Weiland!

Whoa! Rock band Stone Temple Pilots has fired lead singer Scott Weiland!!
This caught their fans by surprise and the statement they released didn’t help much. It said:

“Stone Temple Pilots have announced they have officially terminated Scott Weiland.”

That’s it. That’s the entire statement. Though it’s less a statement and more a sentence.
Weiland had been with the band since they formed in 1986!
What’s extra cray cray is that Weiland literally denied rumors of the band breaking up just yesterday, saying:

“STP has not broken up. I haven’t quit. I haven’t been fired.”

Wow, we guess he was blindsided being terminated.
STP had just reformed in 2008 after a 5-year hiatus and went on tour last year, but we guess there was trouble in paradise.
It’s unknown if they’ll be replacing Weiland or if this is the end for Stone Temple Pilots.
Weiland is iconic in the alternative rock scene and beyond talented, so it seems like he’ll be fine as he’s embarking on a solo tour next month.
Still, that’s gotta hurt to be fired from your own band.
