Sean Penn has decided to direct the upcoming indie feature called The Comedian.
The movie, written by Art Linson with Jeffrey Ross, will be starring Robert De Niro and Kristen Wiig!
We love us some Wiig, so we’re pleased to hear they’ve chosen her.
The story’s about De Niro as a coming past his prime who hopes to put new life into his arrested career. He punches an audience member, though, and has to do community service where he meets a lady who promptly “turns his life sideways.”
Sounds pretty good, and it’ll be interesting to see Robert doing any kind of stand up. He’s someone we’d never really picture doing that!
