They’re going to have one hell of a summer because of her!
Though many Italian-Americans in New Jersey are offended by MTV’s The Jersey Shore because the cast holds up a mirror to the thousands of guidos & guidettes in NJ it falsely portrays the culture in the Garden State, some are thanking their lucky pickles that the show came about.
Like every hotel manager, boardwalk bartender and Karma waitress in Seaside Heights!
The small shore town will be booming this summer says the town’s executive director of Business Improvement, Maria Maruca. She believes that The Situation and his friends have brought a “economic benefit” to Seaside that they never had before and will never have again. Maria explains:
“There’s the curiosity factor. Celebrities draw crowds. That’s going to give us an edge that we didn’t have before. The exposure that the show brought to Seaside Heights ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ when every late-night host is talking about Snooki, when Leonardo DiCaprio is talking about the show ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ we could never have afforded that type of media. This is more than we could ever have asked for.”
Seriously! Maria explains that the boardwalk was even packed during the winter, just so folks could see the places their favorite guidos frequented!
