Selena Gomez has an explanation for THAT Taylor Swift comment!
If you missed it, Selly G has been caught up in some controversy after leaving a cryptic comment underneath a post with some pics of her BFF Tay enjoying the NBA Finals game four. She left a simple “lol” beneath the post after sharing some Stories on her Instagram expressing her sadness that the San Antonio Spurs lost to the New York Knicks. But some fans took that as shade!
Since Tay was seen hanging at a party Hailey Bieber was attending — and also greeted Kylie Jenner in a super friendly way — some fans believed Selena was being subtle about her annoyance. But according to her, that’s not the case! In an IG Story on Thursday evening, she wrote:
“woke up and was sent so many texts. I would never insult my friends nor was it an insult.”

She continued, confirming her response was directed at Mariska Hargitay totally losing her mind after the Knicks’ win:
“The comment was a reaction to the first slide on the page. Second I bet my friends on the game. The friends in the text chain I posted. I lost but was poking at my opponents, my friends. Believe it or not I do have other friends in my life. But quickly forget that most assume otherwise.”
Wrapping up, Benny Blanco‘s wife reminded everyone of something very important:
“also .. It’s a basketball game.”
