Selenita Helped Pay The Rent With Her First Wizards Paycheck!

All the more reason to love her!
For as successful and fabulous as she is, gurlfriend has never let it go to her head!
The Wizards of Waverly Place will be wrapping up it five-season run next month, and during a recent retrospective, series star Selena Gomez was asked on what she splurged her first paycheck from the pilot episode, and she revealed it most likely went to supporting her family!
She explains:

“I think [my first paycheck] went into living [in Los Angeles] because we had to move from Texas, so I think we just had to pay for it.”

And on splurges:

“Shoes …. I didn’t really buy anything. I got my Ford Escape?”

Ha! Too cute!
And so down to Earth!
It’s rare you hear someone acting so grounded in this industry – and at such a young age!
You can’t help but admire her maturity! Keep it up, gurl!
