Is Selena Gomez declaring her independence from bestie Taylor Swift?
That might be a bit of an exaggeration, but the Hands To Myself singer did stray from tradition by skipping the famous Taymerica bash and throwing her own Fourth Of July party instead. Hmm, very inneresting!

In fact, it seems Miz Gomez loved her new role as hostess as she took to Instagram and posted:
We see you, girl. While we doubt there is any Bad Blood between the blonde beauty and the former Disney darling, we do think it was pretty bold of Selena to throw a shindig on Tay Tay’s favorite holiday. Although we should mention, Selena is currently in the middle of her Revival Tour and had a stop in Denver, Colorado on July 2 and needed to be in Phoenix, Arizona by July 5.
Still, the 23-year-old appeared to truly enjoy her low-key event as she took to IG again and shared:
Francia Raisa (who is seen in the pic above) dished all about the party on her Snapchat as she shared that the evening consisted of dancing, lighting sparklers, and making it rain dollar bills. Okay, our #FOMO has officially kicked in.
