Selena Gomez is under fire right now!!
Following Gomez’s decision to speak out in defense of Taylor Swift over the video leak, angry fans took to Twitter to DRAG her for not speaking out on important issues like #BlackLivesMatter. Apparently people found the singer’s tweets suggesting that celebs should use their voices for issues that really matter contradictory and ironic since the 23-year-old never does so herself!
Well, sometimes the truth hurts and needs to be said — S.G.’s pal Taylor is definitely learning that hard lesson today!

One irritated user saw Selly’s tweet, “There are more important things to talk about… Why can’t people use their voice for something that f*cking matters?” and wrote:
“Good question! Why haven’t you or Taylor not said a thing about #BlackLivesMatter or police brutality?”
Dayuuummm!! That fan really wasted no time going there!
Unfortunately for Selena, she chose probably the WORST response anyone could give to that question. Not only did the entertainer totally blow off the issue all together, but she also declared that she’d never pick “sides”.
Uh-oh! Doesn’t the beauty know that you can address tragedies and pressing issues without showing bias?
Take a look at her sassy, now-deleted response (below)!
“So that means if I hashtag something I save lives? No, I could give two f*cks about ‘sides.’ You don’t know what I do.”
Oh boy.
But wait, that’s not all! Apparently a friend of the late Christina Grimmie also took Selena to task for not addressing gun control — read the amazing set of tweets (below)!
@selenagomez 1) if your femme squad is all about talking about stuff that “fucking matters,” why am I seeing topic selectivity among y’all?

@selenagomez 2) as a Texas native and a friend of Christina Grimmie, why haven’t you expressed concerns about GUN CONTROL?

@selenagomez 3) if the last thing we need is “hate,” why were you in the “Bad Blood” video, which capitalized on a feud w/ @katyperry?

@selenagomez 4) talk about why you chose to appropriate Hindu culture for the sake of album art… enlighten me!
— Celine Calpo (@CelineCalpo) July 18, 2016
@selenagomez 5) also on that album… why did u have a song that could be considered a mainstream justification of unwanted sexual pursuits?
— Celine Calpo (@CelineCalpo) July 18, 2016
Welp, there ya go! That’s pretty much all one can say.
So, whose side are YOU on?
