Serena Williams just did not look like herself out there!
The 11-time Wimbledon champ was in the middle of a doubles match with her big sis and fellow tennis superstar Venus Williams when things just went from bad to worse!
Serena could barely even serve, as seen in the Vine video below!
After three games against Kristina Barrois and Stefanie Voegele, the American sisters had to retire because of Serena’s poor playing!
Oh noes!
So what went wrong??
Off the court, Serena received medical treatment and sources say she was suffering from an unknown illness. Eye witnesses say the younger Williams looked woozy and disoriented during play.
After immediately going down 3-0, Venus and Serena walked hand-in-hand to chair umpire Kader Nouni and quit!
But even though Serena says she was just feeling sick, others were suggesting that there was something odd about all of this!
Tennis commentator Pam Shriver said live on ESPN:
“This is not an illness. It├óΓé¼Γäós almost like she has taken something that makes her feel dizzy, disoriented, and she cannot reach up and strike the ball.├óΓé¼┬¥
Former pro Chris Evert also asked:
“Is it a virus? Is it something unintentional or intentional in her system that they may drug test for?├óΓé¼┬¥
Whoa…
Those are some SERIOUS accusations!
Whatever the case, we hope Serena feels better and is back in better shape for the US Open next month!
