At least six people are suffering from mysterious eye injuries after attending a Donald Trump rally last week.
According to KVOA-TV, several rallygoers sat behind the controversial presidential candidate at the Tucson Music Hall in Arizona on September 12. But after they left the event, they soon started to experience eye pain. Mayra Rodriguez told the outlet that her eyes began “burning” when she stepped outside. It was so bad by the end of her 90-minute drive home to Phoenix that she decided to go to the hospital:
“The emergency room staff, from the triage nurse to the PA [physician assistant] asked, ‘Are you sure you didn’t get sprayed with something? Your symptoms look like you got sprayed with something.’”
The next day, Mayra said her eyes continued to hurt “a lot.” She couldn’t even open her eyes without feeling pain. And when Mayra finally managed to do so, she claimed to experience temporary blindness. Whoa. Thankfully, the outlet noted her vision has improved this week.

Mayra was not the only one dealing with this mystery injury. Two others, a brother and sister duo, had a similar experience. The unnamed woman said:
“It kept getting worse and worse, my eyes were watering a lot, my nose started running then I started feeling my face get really flushed and my neck felt like it was on fire and it just progressed from there.”
Her bro added it was “unbearable.” Jeez!!
Per Newsweek, 48 people were onstage with Trump and they were divided up to the left and right of him. What’s strange is that no one to the left reported any injuries. Hmm. At this time, the Trump campaign has told Mayra that it is investigating the situation. You can see more details about the situation (below):
