Shakira spoke alongside President Obama during the 6th Summit of the Americas to promote early childhood development policies in Cartagena, Colombia on Monday.
The humanitarian, who was just named a member of President Obama’s Advisory Commission on Education Excellence for Hispanics last year, continued her fight to make a huge impact for children and education.
And if that wasn’t enough, she’s also the found of both Latin America in Solidarity Action (ALAS) and the Pies Descalzos / Barefoot Foundation, whose mission is:
“To make education universally available to every child, operates schools and educational projects in Colombia, South Africa, and Haiti, feeding and educating approximately 6,000 children.”
You are such an inspiration, Shaki!! Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re not only a positive influence, but you’re also making a wonderfully huge impact for children’s development.
