Whoa. This is frightening!
Shannen Doherty was on Twitter this past Sunday night when she received a number of disturbing messages from a suicidal fan.
In the message the 27-year-old fan threatened that unless Shannen called, the woman planned to take her own life. And Shannen says she had reason to believe the woman possessed a gun.
After securing the woman’s address, Shannen gave it to New Jersey’s Westampton Township Police Department. But when the police arrived, the woman was found in her room with nothing around to lead the cops to believe she was an actual danger to herself.
Though they offered her medical attention, the woman declined and the police left. But Shannen was clearly still thinking of the matter as she later tweeted her thanks to the WPD for their “diligent” and “reassuring” response.
So was this just a joke or did the woman really want to kill herself?? We’re hoping it was just the former — though it wasn’t funny. At all.
